Stuffit Expander A must have. Most macs come with this, but if not you should get it. It unstuffs and decodes files that you download. (186 KByte size)
SoundApp A nice little app that plays most sound files such as Wav, AIFF, and Mac sounds .
Jpeg Viewer Nice app that can view most image files. (788 KByte size)

Windows

Real Audio. This is something you will want if you wish to listen to Real Audio and Video content on the web. Note: Real Audio is included as a part of Netscape Communicator (see below).
ISCA BBS Client. Get this if you would like to get on to ISCA BBS, the largest free bbs in the world! (300 KBytes size)
CoffeeCup Free FTP This is a very nice, very free windows File Transfer Protocol client. You will want this if you plan on putting up a Homepage on your Avalon account.
Winzip This is something you will want if you plan on downloading software from the Internet. Many files are in zipped format, and this will uncompress them for you. (71 9 KBytes Size)
Netscape Communicator.The latest version of Netscape (Netscape 4.75). This install includes Mail and News readers. This is large and may not run well on all machines. Pen tium and 16MBytes of memory suggested. (19 MBytes Size)

Internet Explorer 5.0.The latest version of Microsofts Internet Explorer. This will take you to Microsofts IE site where you can download the latest version of Internet Explorer. Like Communicator 4.0, this also requires a fairly quick machine. Pentium with 16MBytes Suggested. (Unknown size)

ICQ. ICQ is an Internet chat program.

Real Audio A multi-media player for the Internet. You will want this if you would like to listen to Real Audio/Video content on the Internet
ICQ An Internet chat program that allows you and your friends to send messages and chat.
WS-FTP A File Transfer Protocol client that allows you to upload and download files fron the internet. You will want this if you plan on putting up a homepage on your Avalon account. (500 KBytes size)
Winzip This allows you to uncompress zip files that you may download fromm the Internet.
